Cell 9 Construction Update
Cell 9 construction has begun. The first step in the construction process is to clear the Cell 9 area of trees and vegetation. The tree and vegetation debris from the land clearing will be burned on-site. This one-time approval to burn land clearing debris was granted by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division on April 10, 2026, and a burn permit from the Georgia Forestry Commission will be obtained prior to burning the land clearing debris. Should you have any questions, please call the hotline.
Sincerely,
Cedar Grove Landfill Team
